About the Campaign
- For many rural families in Zimbabwe, safe drinking water is still out of reach. Growing up in a rural community, I witnessed the daily challenges families face when clean, reliable water is not available nearby. Those experiences inspired me to start VivaDrops, a social enterprise working to improve access to safe drinking water in underserved communities.
We have already secured €3,000 in project funding and begun preparing our first pilot in Bindura, Zimbabwe. Now, we are raising €5,000 to help close our remaining funding gap and complete the essential work needed to bring the pilot closer to operation.
Your support will help us purchase essential water filtration and treatment equipment, complete plumbing and installation, and carry out water-quality testing to verify that the treated water meets applicable drinking-water standards.
Our pilot aims to bring safe drinking water closer to approximately 50 people across 10 households. By combining rainwater harvesting with borehole water as a backup source, we hope to develop a more reliable water supply that can be adapted for other underserved communities.
