About the Campaign
Please help me raise awareness regarding the devastating effects of Leukemia and the importance of educating people regarding this condition and how plus where people can be assisted. It is not normal to constantly feel extremely tired and neither is it common to constantly lose blood. Losing my husband to leukemia changed my life forever. I became a young widow after my husband did not receive the necessary diagnosis and medical help he needed in time. By the time he was diagnosed, the leukemia had already progressed to approximately 93%. He passed away barely knowing what was happening to him or having the opportunity to receive the help he desperately needed.
I was left behind with our 5-year-old daughter, facing the pain of losing my husband while also trying to find the strength to care for and raise our child alone. Through my own experience, I have come to realize that my story is not unique. There are many young widows and orphaned children in my community who have been left behind after losing loved ones to leukemia. Families are facing not only the heartbreak of losing a husband, father, or mother, but also the overwhelming financial struggles and debts that can remain after medical treatment, funeral expenses, and other costs.
That is why I am reaching out to compassionate individuals, organizations, friends, and well-wishers to help provide financial assistance to young widows and orphans affected by leukemia. Your support can help families with essential needs such as food, school fees, housing, medical expenses, clothing, and outstanding debts. It can give a grieving mother the support she needs to care for her children and help an orphaned child continue their education and have hope for a better future. I know personally what it means to suddenly lose a husband and face the future with a young child. I also know how difficult it can be to ask for help. This campaign is not only about my family, it is about reaching out to other families who are walking the same painful journey.
For every donation you make a t-shirt will be made with your name and a handwritten thank you from the widow(s) or orphan(s) your contributions would have assisted.
No contribution is too small. Every donation, every share, and every word of encouragement can make a difference.
